Seven Summits of Big Bear

Here is the picture from the Gold Mtn hike, turns out it was one of the hottest days of the summer so far! I bet everyone on the trial that day would agree that it was a bit toasty   Nice job to everyone that was out there!

Over 100 hikers started off the summer right by hiking the first of the Seven Summits of Big Bear on Saturday, May 28th. We were expecting a few more than usual due to having press from off the mountain talking about our little hikes up here in Big Bear, but wow! We had hikers from all over Southern California show up to enjoy a picture perfect Big Bear day (good thing the hike was on Saturday and not Sunday.) Thanks to everyone who participated in the Grays Peak group hike, what a great way to start off the Seven Summits hiking season.  We look forward to seeing you again on June 11th for Bertha Peak or out somewhere else on the trail. We will post once we get Butler Peak punch up, which should be by next weekend.
